Ambitious plans are under way to restore the neighborhood of East Baltimore into a thriving community.

Foundations has joined The Annie E. Casey Foundation as a partner in their flagship national initiative, Making Connections.

Foundations offers afterschool staff development at numerous venues throughout the year, but none rival our annual Beyond School Hours Winter Institute (BSH)—convened by the United States Department of Education and 21st Century Community Learning Centers.

As afterschool education becomes increasingly professionalized throughout the country, Foundations is leading the way.

The Center for Afterschool Education at Foundations empowers afterschool educators nationwide to integrate critical Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) content into their program offerings.

With 10 centers around the country, the U.S. Dream Academy serves elementary and middle school students who have a history of family incarceration.

Foundations’ Center for Afterschool Education has worked on a project led by Seattle-based Schools Out Washington (SOWA) to develop and implement an on-site coaching model to better support children and youth in their afterschool programs.

Ongoing professional development is vital to strengthening and expanding the skills and abilities of afterschool leaders and educators.

Funded by The Annenberg Foundation, PIIC designs and delivers training programs for instructional coaches and school leaders, starting at the high-school level.

Nurturing Excellence in Synagogue Schools (NESS) is an initiative of the Auerbach Central Agency for Jewish Education (ACAJE) aimed at improving the quality of Jewish education and increasing the number of students who continue their Jewish education beyond their Bar/Bat Mitzvah.

In 2002, Foundations’ partnered with a new charter school in Philadelphia to provide business support services in the areas of general accounting, budget preparation, payroll and benefits, debt management, financial reporting, and a number of other areas.

As educators, we understand how busy schedules can get and how quickly they can change. Foundations offers customized professional development online in a variety of formats including webinars.
